Vickey & Marc Glover
After a few years of hearing about a beautiful, proud and almost mythological creature coming to America from their homeland in the snow capped peaks of South America's Andean Altaplano, we were intrigued to learn more about these wonderful animals. It was said the fleece of these beautiful animals was of such fineness, so soft and luxurious to the touch that only the South American Royalty was allowed to wear it. Others caught wearing this fiber of the gods would be put to death.
In 1999, we finally found these amazing animals. We were hooked from the first show we attended just one month later. In 2000, after visiting many farms we bought our first three females.
Our goal is to specialize in a herd of black alpacas with luxurious, fine, dense and crimpy fleece. To accomplish our goal, we buy the best females we can afford and breed them to the highest quality National Multi-Blue Ribbon winning males that we can find. We find this produces the best crias possible.
We are located just east of I-5 and only 6 miles from downtown Albany, Oregon.
